Hearing God

A number of years ago when we lived in Harford Square (Edgewood, Maryland). Our end of group townhome was catty-corner to the end of group of town home with the Cannons family. Our daughters Michelle and Laurie strung a line with a tin can on each end from their bedroom windows to each other, as a line of communication with one another.

We can communicate with God, but we don’t need a tin can line to talk to Him and listen for His gentle voice. (1 Kings 19:11 &12).

“We are participants , not spectators. Accordingly, we seek to interact with God in a relationship of listening and speaking.” – Dallas Willard, Hearing God: Developing A Conversational Relationship With God.
